About this Exploration:
Located at the east edge of Burlingame on U.S. 56 is the railroad bridge. It was built in 1869 when the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad expanded its railroad line to Burlingame. The old Santa Fe Trail followed closely what is currently U.S. 56.
This is the first point where the Santa Fe Rail crossed the Santa Fe Trail.
