Participants passed the word, "Stop for lunch at 'The Pie Place'," where pies were sold out in front of the Lutheran Church. Betty Plush keeps that 'Pie Place' going with her weekly Farmers' Market pies. Between the market and the pies, we discovered a special weakness for rhubarb, the only fruit guaranteed to come with a story. In 2007, Glasco held the First Ever Annual Rhubarb Festival and Tasting Tea. The first Friday in June seems the best time for this event. Music, stories, poetry and lots of rhubarb. The time? Tea time: 3:30 p.m. The place? The Corner Store, 129 East Main.
