#1 Morgan Drive
Email Address: dcacc@eaglecom.net About this Exploration: Sappa Park was originally called Sappa Ceek State Park. In about 1969, the city of Oberlin acquired the approximately 400 acre park. It is located two miles east of Oberlin on U.S. 36. Updates to the park are in the process, with a Wetlands project being almost completed. Water is already collecting near the dam. Horseback riders sometime use the trails, too. On the front part of the property is a nine-hole, grass green golf course. No tee-time is required and fees are minimal. The creek and tree cover makes it an interesting and competitive course. Surrounding the golf course and the north part of the park are over five miles of nature trails for walking and horseback riding, which are used throughout the week and weekends. A large part of the park is leased to the local chapter of Pheasants Forever for walk-in hunting during the winter hunting seasons. |
