Email Address: nchs@rainbowtel.net About this Exploration: Listed on the National Registry of Historic Places in 2004, the Nemaha County Historical Museum is located in the former Nemaha County Jail and Sheriff's residence. Come see the five jail cells, three original steel clad cells, and two cells installed in the 1907 remodeling!
Other displays include a doctor and pharmacy exhibit; a Lake Nemaha and CCC exhibit; farm tool exhibit, historic household artifacts, and miniature 1915 Kelly town!
The museum preserves archives and artifacts which are accurate accounts of historic events of early culture and heritage in early Nemaha County. Open May-September Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. or by appointment. |
