Email Address: info@woodsoncountychamber.com About this Exploration: Plans to build the Woodson Hotel began in early 1887. The 21 room, 12 stove building didn't take long to complete with all of the stone being obtained from a quarry north of town. By November 7, 1887 the hotel was open for reception. The guest list ranged from medicine shows or a small circus to the more famous such as Buffalo Bill. On May 20, 1986 it was listed on the National Register as part of the Yates Center Courthouse Square Historic District.
Renovations are underway to convert the motel into senior living apartments.
