About this Exploration: Come and enjoy the city park.
In 2002 the family of Walter and Helen Fees donated approximately three acres to the City of Gas for the purpose of developing a city park. Due to the generosity of area businesses, citizens, and fundraising by the park committee, the City of Gas was able to dedicate the park on July 2, 2005.
Since then there have been several additions made to the park. The most recent being a shelter house on the west side of the park, a swinging bridge, playground equipment for smaller children, donated by the park committee, and a walking track made of recycled tire material which was made possible by a matching grant from the KDHE.
Located on the corner of U.S. 54 and 2000 Street, the park is easily accessible for the citizens of Gas as well as travelers on their way to another destination.
