When viewed from a stationary position Lifetiles Murals appear as a fixed image. However, when the viewer moves from one side to another, the embedded images appear to depict motion.
Every Lifetile is handcrafted from start to finish. Each mural consists of 90 individual glass tiles with images embedded in them. Watch the Pony Express rider race across the prairie, see an old steam locomotive transition into a modern diesel locomotive or see the history of Marysville.
There is no other artwork of its kind in Kansas! Produced by Boston, MA artist Rufus Seder, the murals are a rare art form.
